HIFU is a comfortable procedure. Most patients does not require numbing cream. Some might feel a mild ache along the jawline and cheek bone. Topical anaesthesia is available to ease any discomfort if required.
Most patients find it bearable and resume normal activities right after the treatment.
HIFU takes approximately 30-40 minutes with minimal downtime and pain. Skin may appear slightly flushed immediately after the treatment, but will subside within a few hours.
Gel is applied to skin to allow handpiece to easily glide onto skin.
The number of shots required varies for each patient, it depends on the patient’s skin condition like how severe is the sagging and what is the size of your face etc.
Usually it will require around 800 shots for a full face and neck procedure.
On average, most patients need only one HIFU treatment, with regular maintenance every 6 months.
For patients with severe sagging, it is recommended to do two initial treatments with regular maintenance every 6 months.
