What is GOURI?

GOURI is a new injectable treatment that is the first to use Liquid Polycaprolactone (PCL).

GOURI, as a biodegradable polymer, it naturally degrades naturally due to the hydrolysis. It is used only on the face to stimulate improve collagen stimulation and skin lifting.

How does GOURI work?

GOURI is injected uniformly into the dermal or subdermal layer. Since it uses liquid PCL, it is easily spread across the face compared to other injectables.

Liquid Polycaprolactone (PCL) works by promoting collagen stimulation for facial lifting and providing exceptional skin suppleness, making the skin soft and smooth.

GOURI is only performed on the face. Although its composition is beneficial for other places, it is still recommended to be injected on the face.

GOURI treatment has minimal pain and downtime. GOURI only uses 10 injection points on the face. The injection points are far from major nerves and blood vessels, which reduces the risks of pain, bruising or swelling.

GOURI is a CE approved treatment. It is a safe procedure with no long term side effects. GOURI is 100% bio-compatible and can be broken down by your body naturally. It consists of only liquid PCL which is easily spread out across the face .

As with most injectable treatments, the common side effects of GOURI are:

  • Some swelling at the area of injection
  • Small bumps at the area of injection

 

These will go away after a few hours. For patients with thinners skin, the bumps may stay for a while longer but it will subside within 1-2 days.

There is minimal downtime for GOURI Treatment, side effects such as mild swelling and bumps at the injection site can be noticed after the procedure, which will subside within 24-48 hours.

Avoid any strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after the treatment.

Usually 3 sessions of GOURI done 4 weeks apart are needed to get optimal clinical result. Subsequently it can be repeated every 6 months to maintain the desired appearance.

Severe signs of ageing or saggy skin may require a third or fourth session to achieve optimal clinical results before moving onto maintenance treatment.

Patient usually will start to experience result as soon as 1 week. The best results are seen from 1-2 month onwards as it will need some time to induce neocollagenesis for the the effect of lifting and tightening.

The effects of GOURI usually last for about 9-12 months. Depending on the level of ageing, maintenance treatments of is recommeneded.
