Dr Daniel Tay graduated from the National University of Singapore with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK). He completed his Internal Medicine Residency programme with the National Healthcare Group (NHG) where he was an Assistant Chief Resident for 2 consecutive terms. With a passion for education, he was appointed as a Clinical Tutor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS), mentoring and teaching undergraduate medical students and junior doctors. He was awarded the NHG Teaching Award for Junior Doctors. Dr Tay has several publications in international journals, and also presented at overseas medical conferences.
Having a keen focus in Dermatology, Dr Tay has worked at the National Skin Centre and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital where he has managed cases related to the skin, hair and nails. Dr Tay was also proficient in dermatological procedures such as excisions, cautery and biopsies of benign and malignant conditions. To sharpen his procedural skills, he has also worked in General Surgery departments at Changi General Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. These have added to his years of experience in providing better care to his patients.
Dr Tay is passionate in helping his patients achieve their ideal aesthetic goals through safe and effective medically-proven treatments. This is centred around professional doctor-patient relationship, focusing on the bio-psycho-social wellbeing of his patients. Treatment for his patients is individualized and tailored to their specific needs and goals.
During his free time, Dr Tay publishes reviews of airport lounges, airline cabin seats, and hotels in Singapore for staycations. He enjoys traveling abroad to explore the world, immersing himself in the rich history and diverse culture that each destination has to offer. Dr Tay also spends his free time playing the piano and the flute.
